We absolutely loved Bonito Campground. We were so impressed by the obvious care that the camp hosts take to make the place clean and pleasant. From the bathrooms to the roadway and paths, the entire place was beautifully kept. We felt safe and relaxed the entire four nights we were there. The location is wonderful with easy access to the National monuments and to Flagstaff and other great places to sightsee and hike. We visited Wupatki, Sunset Crater, and Walnut Creek Canyon. The number of ancient pueblos in the area is astounding and we explored many of them. And visiting the volcanic areas is fascinating. You can't go wrong in this area. We will definitely return to this terrific campground. Thank you to the hosts for making this a fantastic experience.

Great spot to serve as the center to explore the Greater Flagstaff area. From the Grand Canyon to Sedona to Meteor Crater to the lava flows on your doorstep, all within a couple of minutes drive of downtown Flagstaff.

This is a great place to camp. The hosts are the most lovely we have EVER experienced at a campground, sites are large, bathrooms very clean and it is slightly protected from major wind, etc… and very quiet. Sound does not seem to travel very far so you will not be overwhelmed by the sound of kids playing in the adjacent site or hear your neighbors chatting.
One thing to note is you are camping on crushed lava rocks. It is small rock and not terrible but was a bit of a surprise to us so If you are in a tent be sure to bring a tarp!
