Campsite was beautiful and well-mantained, restrooms were clean, and the nightly ranger programs were so engaging! We loved being able to hike right into the park from the campground.

This is a beautiful campground amidst the beautiful tall pines. There are paved roads throughout the campground, an amphitheater, clean flush toilets, walking paths and very nice camp hosts. The only things to note are limited cell coverage for Verizon and our site need more leveling than typical. Our picnic table and other site amenities were also situated opposite of camp side.
There are so many things to do close to the campground. Definitely check out Sunset Crater Volcano & Wupatki National Monuments as well as Walnut Canyon National Monument.

Our site, I think it was 26, had no shade anytime of the day. That was the only negative.

This is a great campground to base at to explore Sunset Crater, Wupatki National Monument, Walnut Canyon National Monument as well as hit some USFS trails. I really enjoy the layout of the campground. Even though it was full the camp sites are positioned so that it doesn't seem crowded. There are no hookups or dump site so be sure to take care of your tankage appropriately before arrival. The rest rooms do have water and were well maintained but no showers. The newly rebuilt amphitheater is great.

Camp hosts are caring and thorough to help everyone have a great experience. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper. Firewood and ice were available on site. Campsite was large and comfortable for our needs.

Bonito lives up to its name. It is very nice, pretty. Slots are very ample with lots of space in-between. Good shade. The hosts were great. The facilities clean. Some good trails to walk. Nice to have the National Monument nearby and also the road up to the lookout. Would warn people that T-Mobile has NO service here, that you have to go out to Hwy 89 en route back to Flagstaff to get signal, or if you hike up the trail toward O'Leary Peak. Actually it's not a trail but an uninspired forest road up that hill nearby.
