Fernow Cabin

So awesome. It seems that everyone who comes treats the cabin as their own. It was clean and stocked with dishes, cookware and silverware. Such a great location. Definitely drive on to the Edge of the World and hike past the East Pocket fire lookout to look down on Oak Creek Canyon. We loved our stay!

Had an incredible trip. The cabin is nestled into such a serene spot with access to incredible views of Sedona(edge of the world & jenga rocks). Even better if you have an off road vehicle but we did fine with our suv (not 4WD or AWD) My wife and I loved the peace and quiet. We grilled delicious meals, watched beautiful sunsets, gazed at the stars and played the games provided by the Forest service and prior visitors. Cant wait to return with a bigger group to make the most of the space the cabin has.

Beautiful setting! The outdoor area is real nice. Took a short walk to an old corral. We went to Edge of the world and the East pocket look out tower.

It was very tidy and clean. They do have a shower and sinks during the summer. They did have the water turned off when we stayed but it’s nice to know for future stays. The road was bumpy but nothing crazy, overall easy to get to. The cabin is very cute and has 5 beds if you count the futon. You get a propane stove and fridge. They have a trail south of the cabin, we saw deer and tons of birds. They had a grill and fire pit with a grill. Large groups for this cabin would be great! They are also dog friendly! They did have a secret little cave nook and that looks like a cool place for telling stories and hanging out. Everything was really well stocked and we loved our stay!

There are several trees perfectly spaced for hanging a hammock and watching the birds run up and down the trees. Our dog loved having so much area to explore within the perimeter fence. The stories captured in the notebook from previous guests make a good read….some a bit spooky. Loved our three days and will definitely be back. Thank you Forest Service for making this possible!

The cabin is very secluded and nearby to the Jenga rocks. It was very beautiful around the cabin and super quiet. Loves my experience there.
