Fort Tuthill County Campground

Unique campground. Very close campsites, no power, great camp hosts. Porta potties only. Great for a weekend exploring Flagstaff. Two nights of Rave music is one night too many. Concert next door was not conducive to camping. One night is tolerable. Two is too much. Please stop.

We spend every May with Fort Tuthill campground and love it. It's next to the Xtreme course, bike park, and the disc golf course. Close to a Walmart if you missed anything and not far from town. Overall great place to camp. Note: If there is a concert, which is also great to camp for...you likely will hear the music, but that's kind of fun too unless u hate the music :)

We were traveling Route 66 for the anniversary year and wanted a home base to check out all of the things that Flagstaff has to offer. This was a great spot! Close to town. Secure. Beautiful! The sites are a little tricky to decipher, but it is a beautiful setting! Both sites we stayed in were quite level (E2 & B2). They kept so much tree cover. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Both sites would well as they were more open for Starlink and our solar. Would highly recommend!

Easy access dump station and potable water station as well water thru the campground too! Plenty of dumpsters and porta potties. Nice they have a picnic table and fire ring at each site.

We travel in a 31ft class C towing a Jeep and several spots to choose from. We did dry camping only - the hookup spots are right close to the camp host shed.

FYI: fire ban currently for wood and charcoal

This is a great location, the bike trails are amazing, and access to Flagstaff via the trail system is excellent! The actual campground, though, could use some modernization and updates. It is cramped, lacking any real infrastructure (no actual bathrooms - just a bunch of porta-potties), and poorly planned (the dump station is in the middle of the driveway just steps from where you pay to camp - gross). If Coconino County invested in expanding and modernizing this campground, they would recoup their investment tenfold in a matter of a couple years.

Nice campground unfortunately you will have very incompetent neighbors. There should be a limit on running generators. Especially when your surroundings are tent campers. If you need a generator for three hours stay home or go to an RV park. I am an Rv full timer and go tent camping for peace and quiet. Have consideration for the other people around you. The park should have some restrictions on this. If night owls have “quiet hours” then there should be a limit on loud generators running for hours. Such a selfish entitled thing to do.
