Peralta Regional Park

LOVED camping here! I used to just camp in the BLM land that is along the road leading to this park but now that I know this is here I'll gladly pay the $10 camping fee to stay here instead! It is BEAUTIFUL! Super clean and the views are amazing. Truly the best place to camp in the valley..I mean it! Super close to Lost Dutchman's State park so we camped here at night and then went over there to hike Flat Iron. I almost don't want to leave this review so it doesn't become super busy but it deserves to be booked up! Shout out to Carol the camp host who helped us out navigating to our camping spot!

This park is amazing. Compared to other hikes in the superstition mountains, it is much less primitive. Please still be careful, but I really like that my cell phone worked at all locations on my hike and the trails were very well marked. I was using All Trails app but this was honestly as well marked as anything in center of Phoenix.

I love all the shades and picnic benches. I was out for an extra hour because I had a good place to rest in the shade.

There is NO POTABLE WATER ON THIS SITE there are waterless latrines for facilities. You bring everything you need.

I passed a variety of easy and less accessible campsites, depending on your preferences. The scenery was impressive.

I hope I get to return next fall or winter. I'm glad I was able to come out this spring and see all the saguaro blossoms

Some friends that live in the area recommended we go here. Lots of trails, picnic sites and campsites.
Our friends told us that there was no fee, however there is a $7 day use fee. Some other visitors were also confused as they also thought it was free. Regardless, well worth $7.
Camping sites are rustic and $17.
Spectacular views.
If you're in the area, make a stop. Ypu can easily drive through.

Beautiful area and the park is laid out well. Great for hiking and horses. Trails are rideable on mountain bikes but not a lot of flow to them. The builders definitely didn’t have MTBs in mind when they designed them.

Camping spots are nice with parking space for one car/van/truck (min parking space is 10x20, some longer). They are primarily for tent camping but vans are permitted. Must reserve spots online.

Four stars because of concerns about trail maintainability as storm runoff erodes them. Some areas are already washed out with the winter rains.

Overall Pinal Co did a great job with its 1st regional park! 👍🏼👍🏼

Gorgeous Regional Park with trails for everyone and plenty of parking. Super cool spots for overnight backpacker’s. East side trails make you feel like you are in the backcountry and all of them can be looped together for a little more than 9 miles and almost 1500’ of vert. Trails are great for hiking and trail running, but maybe not so much for MTB. Pay ahead online is easy, trails are marked but not named yet so download the map, bathrooms onsite, and bring water.
