About Burro Creek Campground

The Burro Creek Campground (1,960’ elevation) is situated along the 57 mi Burro Creek in a transition zone between the upper reaches of the scenic Sonoran Desert and lower reaches of the scenic Mojave Desert. The campground offers visitors a variety of scenery including saguaro-studded cliffs along steep canyon walls that contrast Burro Creek’s dense vegetation and flowing waters that form deep pools of water just adjacent to the campground.  The campground accepts reservations for the group site, sites 7 & 9, and 10-17. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance of your arrival at the site. Sites 1-6, 8, and 18-23 are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Your cancellation policy was a challenge. The camp host Randy is pretty burnt out. She wouldn’t even help us with it as we had friends coming in. She said that’s too bad and didn’t care. It all worked out for us to share a spot. She is very unfriendly and needs to move on IMHO. I’m looking forward to coming back with a new host soon because the area is gorgeous.

Great campground. Shaded sites, clean plumbed rest rooms, Nice scenery and cool wildlife viewing. Paths to the river are very rocky and can be challenging, other than the path to and beyond the group site. All sites are nice and the Campground Host was friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning. This was my second visit.

Host was great. Bathrooms clean. Late check out allows exploration without trailer. Burro creek rock hounding is great. Kaiser warm springs hike a few miles away is a must. Gentle off roading to signal ghost town and drives to beautiful rock formations. Att cell does not work in campground but assessable as you exit. Other providers work in campground.

Great place to camp and hike around. It was freezing at night (frost on my car) and nice and warm during the day.
