The grass was knee deep. We go there very often It has never been like this before. We were there for 43 wedding anniversary and we couldn't go fishing. The banks, going to bathroom and camp sites were knee deep in grass growed up. I called the gate he said they were supposed to be mowing. But know one came to mow.

Awesome campground and great bike trails! Stayed in an RV in site B15. It was large, nice and shady with lots of trees by the river, but no great views of the water because of the lush green vegetation. Next time we want to try staying on A side because there a better water views and we saw people fishing over there as well. The sites were definitely smaller though. Cannot wait to return!

Watch out for the ants they will attack your camper just 1 night stay. Also the grass was to my knees. The host was very nice though.

Great place. Quiet and peaceful. Our site was pretty level and close to the Arkansas River where you can see an occasional barge going through the lock at the dam. Close to Ft Smith which has nearly every popular eatery you can name. Cell coverage fair. OTA TV fair. We didn't venture far from the park enjoying the quiet except for the cicadas. We would stay here again.
