Springhill Campground is well-maintained, featuring clean facilities and friendly hosts. Many campsites are spacious, shaded, and located near the Arkansas River, making it a great spot for families and nature lovers. Nice local spot. Wouldnt be my first pick for longer trips, but overnighters, or bringing young kids along its solid. Area is kept clean, fishing nearby. No real negative outside of being pretty close to town, but thats a preference thing really.

Rented a spot for the night, the bathroom was closed went to another bathroom, an old man driving a car half filled with trash stated he would call the cops on us for going out of are area. The camp host's for this facility are rude and don't identify themselves as representatives of the camp grounds. I would recommend you have one camp host that is professional

The campgrounds needs mowing more often. Especially around bathrooms and playground. Snakes love y'all grass. Would not let my grands play there.
Saw two dead snakes on road...while walking. One was copperhead.
Also at dump site, there was an old hose laying in mud( was not usable ). Had been there for a while. Why was it left there? Why did care takers not throw away.
The camp needs another dump site. There was problems with sewer and the site was closed one day. Another site would have been helpful.
Also, why are dogs allowed to run loose?
The site managers need to remind campers that dogs are to be on leashes outside of campers.
A german shepherd was loose with a young girl and run around campgrounds.
No leash... We had to use alternate route to walk out leashes dog. No excuse. The site managers could easily bare this dog from their camper. This is happening at Old Post and Aux Arc as well, likely at all your camp grounds.
Please remind your site managers of this, because if a child or another's campers dog is injured, they and you are at fault.
Finally, Springhill's section B needs updating...roads.and just clean out brush.
Corp grounds are not as well kept as they were 4 years ago. We pay taxes for these parks and yet, grass around the campsite and walking area are not kept manageable, rules are not enforced, less police and corp folks making rounds. Very disappointing.
If I rated Springhill this last trip, it would get only a 4 out of 10. It was an 8 out of 10 four years ago.
Only real nice camping so far this year has been Shoals Bay. Great caretakers and site managers. Just dog control reminders needed.
Thank you.

It is a great CG and park attendants were wonderful. Big problem was dump station was out. Then fixed we were told. And we used it and it was NOT fixed and black overflowed out and it was AWFUL!!!!! If not for that big issue I would give it 5 stars.
