Fire pits over run with ash parking pads were cover with old debris, obvious they had not been cleaned in a long time. Visited with the Corp ranger about the problem, just got a smart ellic answer

Great campground! Clean bathrooms and separate shower rooms. Yes, rooms. Not stalls. So good. Our site was right by the water, and the kids could fish to their hearts' content.

It is a smaller campground, that was not crowded, so for us it was a very quiet and enjoyable stay. It had experienced some flooding the week before from the rains but did not afffectour stay. We absolutely loved our site. Saw a lot of wildlife (hawks, deer, moorhen ducks, owls, cranes, to name a few). The park hosts were wonderful. The bathrooms and showers were clean. We would not hesitate to go an spend anther week there. We were not able to hike to the White Cliffs observation due to my physical limitations.

The park was clean and well maintained. The only issue I had was the park attendant said that you could not park on the grass . Having a cookout with a few guest is impossible if you can’t park on the grass .

The site we had was #3. It was trashy from others and had many old leaves. Leaves that had been on the ground so long that they were in clumps of decay. It was also very buggy likely from all the trash that was around. The picnic table was useless because a lot of the insects had made it their home. The site was hard to level because it sloped downhill towards the river with low spots like divots front to back. The dump station looked like it had been worked on and they forgot to fill in the trenches plus several low-hanging tree limbs at the entrance. The small bathhouse across from the boat launch had the men's side out of order the entire time we were there. There's zero OTA TV, and cell signal was very weak. The rest of the park past the boat launch looked much better but was mainly back-in sites. No problem with power but water pressure was low. The loop around at the end of the park was pretty tight to use to exit for our 36ft 5th wheel due to trees and other campers parking close to the road so we used the boat launch parking lot to turn around to exit the park. We were so disappointed with the site that we left a day early.

Shore line needs cleaning up it’s so grown up you can’t see river from hardly any of the campsites. There are very few places that you can pull your boat up to the bank. This campground used to be the best on the lake. Since the corp took over the mowing the quality of there mowing is terrible.
