This was an incredible camping location right on the water at Lake Dardanelles State Park. The sunrise and sunsets were amazing! Quick overnight stop right off of I-40. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. A train did go by a couple of times and there was a little traffic to the boat ramp. 30 amp electric with water. The space was huge and the park was laid out so well everyone had an exceptional view of the Lake. Reservation made on Recreation.gov and it was easy. I would definitely stay here again! We paid $16 a night with the Senior discount.

Spent two nights. Beautiful, convenient location. Superb sunrises and sunsets! Super hosts—informative, personable, helpful. Individual shower/bathrooms—hot water, clean, flushable toilets. Many sites slope backwards—don’t forget your chocks. Train tracks bound one side of the campground—a little noisy at times, but every thing else about this great campground trumps the noise.

Great park on the Arkansas River. You do hear the trains about 4 to 6 times a day!

Stayed at A2, wife is allergic to bees and daughter is in a wheelchair…bee box on tree at site…..husband was attacked and stung by them. This is a HORRIBLE place to have a bee box. This is the first campground we have stayed at to have this…due to health risk, this should be noted on site when reserving as we would have chosen another site. We could not fully enjoy sitting outside our camper.
