What Guests Are Saying
Choctaw is highly praised for its welcoming atmosphere, with staff like Jeannie making visitors feel at home. The campground is noted for being clean, family-friendly, and well-maintained, with convenient amenities such as Ferguson's Marina nearby. The bath house in part C of the campgrounds was nasty and we reported it several times and it didn't get cleaned or toilet paper put in it until day we were leaving. When you have no water hook ups you need to make sure the bath houses are cleaned daily.

The park was an older park with some updates. Just a few 50 amp sites and limited to larger campers. It was a surprise that no water hook-ups just electrical. With that in mind, the bath houses were used regularly. That sad part we stayed at the part for seven days and the bath housed were only cleaned once in seven days. I thought they would be cleaned daily due to the use of them. The area was beautiful and the host were nice.

We had a great time, stayed at D4 site. Not much to do there if you are not into swimming or fishing. So if you like to do some hiking or have other activities available this isn't your place. If you want to relax and just enjoy sitting around this is your place .

NO REFLECTION ON PARK ATTENDANT, but the experience was disappointing. Live close so had checked prior and found that kids had graffitied ALL over floor/ceiling/rafters. Cleaners were supposed to clean off, but did not, and mowers had not visited in weeks!. So I took brush/ bucket & mower/weedeater over and personally made it presentable. Also, when guests needed a restroom, the obvious one closest to pavilion was boarded up and they had to find another! If this was free, we'd have just chalked it up, but we paid $50 with no discount for senior pass. NO EXCUSE ! Just "don't care" neglect. Looking back we should have just used the paviilion at Clinton city park for free, more convenient, better bathrooms and more amenities. The Corp or whoever oversees should be embarassed and ashamed
