Campgrounds have a tremendous amount of shade. Immaculate grounds. The boat ramps and fish cleaning stations were a bonus. We stayed at the end of June and even with temperatures increasing, camping on the ridge was great. Highly recommend.

The shower house at Jefferson loop was awful, other than that it was okay.

Great weekend even with the rain. Fishing on the lake and watching a bald eagle 🦅 catch a fish on the forth of July. What else could anyone ask for

We checked in and set up camp and not until after we had set up, did we find out there was no swimming due to e coli in the water, so we immediately packed up and left (we had brought our 2 granddaughters and purposely reserved a spot near the swim area). I had called the park the week before to double check about a burn ban so we could plan meals accordingly and we were told absolutely no outdoor cooking. When I called, I would have expected them to also mention that the water was unsafe, but they didn't say a word. Then, when we were leaving, we did see other campsites cooking on charcoal outside, which I was under the impression was not allowed. The park however, looked very nice and hope to go back again. We were issued a refund when we reported our issue which is why I gave the stay at least a 3 star. The person at the gate was also very friendly.

was not informed of closure of water access even as we entered into the park. We just noticed it was not packed like normal, then we were going to the store and happened to see a little paper sign that said beach closed. Went to the office and asked and he told us it was all closed due to e coli in the water. On top of that we could not even grill or a fire. We along with our 4 grandkids were very disappointed. We should have been told in advance so we could have done what everyone else done.. cancel and find something else to do with our family.

Nice people, clean bathrooms, well maintained campsites. The park ranger Hayden was very helpful and knowledgeable of the lake.

Campgrounds were clean, well maintained. A few Bald Eagle sightings also. If you want quiet, this is the place to be!
