The area was beautiful! In early April there were next to no bugs and the weather was mild. If you are planning on going into Heber Springs it takes about half an hour to go around the lake.
The only downside to this campground is there is only one bathroom with 2 vault toilets on the men's and 2 on the women's for B & C loops. And there also were NO LOCKS on the stalls.

Cherokee Rec. Area is a gem on Greers Ferry Lake! We were in spot B10 and the view of the lake was amazing.

We loved the quiet simpleness of Cherokee. The boat ramp and small dock were very nice. The best part was viewing the total eclipse on the water’s edge.

Clean and quiet with beautiful views of the lake. Look closely at pictures of sites, as many are narrow and steep. Very hard for the big rigs to get in. Don't forget to fill your water tank. No showers or flush toilets. Fill water at Dump Station which is just inside the park gates.

We had a amazing time. The camp area and bathrooms were very clean. The park rangers were friendly. The only thing we will do different on our next trip will be to bring something for ants, they were horrible! Can't wait to go back.

Someone was smoking weed there with my infant son nearby. Absolutely disrespectful! Also, the ants are crazy! Needs sprayed!

Great little campground, smaller RV sites than expected. Didn't realize that there was only one swimming hole everyone was attached to, that just so happened to be at our site. For the most part it's a quiet place and enjoyable. Did meet some very nice people that were camping next to us. Would recommend this campground to others, just try to avoid sites C-1 through C-3 unless you don't mind random people walking through your site and sitting at your camper window.
