Probably the best views with sugarloaf mountain island in the backdrop of all campgrounds around greers ferry. Although the campsite has almost zero shade after late morning. It has the best view of the lake and mountain! I will definitely be going back actually already made reservations for a spot closer to the swim area.

Beautiful park. It can be a challenge to get campers in several sites near the water. We were in D2 and came in at night. It was almost impossible to back our 29 ft in this site at night. I love that there is no light messing up the views but that made for a difficult back in. There were several site that had cars off the road but not on parking pads which caused more issues. The bathhouse and restrooms were very clean and the park was very clean. The marina had most everything you would need. Grab groceries before heading in they do not stock much food wise. There are several stores close. Bentleys in town had great food and service if you want to eat out while there. When we left the dump station and trash dumpsters were closed and we had to drive to the Narrows to dump.

Sugar loaf is our favorite place to camp, we are there every other week. The gate attendant is the best ever. I do wish the park could stay open longer in to the year, maybe close the end of September and open the first of May

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. The first couple nights we stayed in D14 and it was nice. We decided to stay a couple more nights and moved to D1 to be right in front of the swimming area, which seemed to be a perfect spot but the bugs or gnats had us itching all night. So nights weren’t so great. But overall the stay was good and the gate attendant was very sweet. We will be staying there again but not in D1 site.

The campsites really really need to be updated. Parking pads need to be longer and wider. Around the picnic tables need to freshen up.
