Sugar Loaf is a well-loved camping destination known for its beautiful views of Greer's Ferry Lake and the nearby Sugar Loaf Mountain. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the bathrooms, and the helpfulness of the staff, especially the gate attendant. While some campers note the need for updates to the sites and grounds, many express their intention to return due to the peaceful atmosphere and enjoyable swimming and kayaking experiences.

We went May 21-30 so the trip ended on Memorial Day. The week days were fantastic! The park was quiet and the facilities were great. Then the holiday happened and it was crazy busy. There were so many trucks and boat trailers parked on the road it was difficult to get through. The parking lots were completely full. People being stupid and rude at the boat ramp we’re kind of entertaining . People just don’t know how to act anymore. What I assumed were drunk boaters wanting to impress everyone with how load their music could be while waiting to load the boat. The only crazy day was Saturday though. Met some really good people in the camp. At the end of the weekend the dumpsters were overflowing and people still stacked bags around them so they could use about double the number on a holiday weekend. All said I plan to go back.
