Me and my girlfriends loved Steel creek campground. Location was gorgeous. It is a bit crowded, but we felt like spacious enough between campers and everyone was so kind and considerate. The bathhouses were okay on the first day, but by the weekend you best have your own TP on hand. It was replenished when the weekend was over. You can't beat the views. It is bumpy coming down the mountain to Steel creak and its white rock to the campsite. Would stay again!

The horse camp has beautiful views and findable trails, but if it has rained, don't count on being able to use the highline posts because the area between them is a slippery swamp that will suck off your boots, and you won't want to stand an equine in it. It will take at least a week for it to dry out even after a light rain. The manure bin hasn't been emptied in years? a long time, anyway, trees are growing in it... There are 2 water spigots in the camp, so that's better than the other Buffalo River national park horse camps (Log Wagon Gap, Hathaway. Woolum, Erbie). This is a place that could be such a highlight in the park's assets, but it will need some attention first.

The rangers were very knowledgeable and helpful, clean bathrooms, and campsite. Our neighboring campers were friendly and mostly respectful of quiet hours, etc. The fall sights are beautiful this time of year, and it was a bonus that they were celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Buffalo National River with a yoga class that took place in view of all the beauty

Steel Creek is a beautiful campground that is maintained well. The bluffs are gorgeous and there's plenty of nearby hikes and activities nearby. The Lost Valley hiking trail is close by and it's one of the most hiked trails in all of Arkansas, according to a Park Ranger. I highly recommend this campground.

Such a wonderful campsite! It was just the right amount of remote and surrounded by beautiful nature, hikes, and swimming holes. We will definitely be staying here again.

My trip is always fantastic at Steel Creek, the camp ground and all the rangers were very helpful and nice. It is nice that office has WIFI now, so to let family know you arrive safe. Weather was great, it rained and we got to see alot of waterfalls off the rock side of park. There were several hogs on our trails and even one in camp but that seems to be all over. Ark. is a beautiful state. God was in a good mood when he created Steel Creek.
