We arrived a little before check in- no one was at the gate- found our site easily. Site 001, East. Had nice water views and site was quiet.
Some sites are close to others but we liked how ours was a bit more separated from the neighbors. We walked around- cell signal was usable (not strong) near the boat launch and bath house. Phones went in and out of SOS at site-both iPhone and Android (both on ATT). Bath house was clean with multiple toilet stalls and two private showers with locking doors. Dump station was close to bath house- even though we only stayed 1 night we dumped and rinsed our black tank well. No one else was using or waiting for the dump station- there were only a handful of camp sites in use on a Friday night (10/4). We stopped one night only on our way from LA to Eureka Springs. I would definitely stay at Kirby Landing again. There is a nice swimming area that would be great in the summer.

Love the nice campsites, excellent restrooms and showers. Boat ramp and bank are nice for getting the boat in and out. Been camping here for 50 years!!!

Usually try to get this same spot. Not much shade but good view of lake and close to friends that come same time. Mary at the entrance is a super nice lady as is the lady Ranger that comes by.

The people at Kirby landing were very helpful. We stayed for 1 week, then moved to another campground for 6 days and moved back to Kirby landing. We had booked a spot but on the day of arrival, we noticed that the spot we were previously in was available for part of our next stay so we switched it online. When we arrived a short time later the computer hadn't been updated so they still had us in the original spot and she said someone was in the new spot. She tried to help but was confused. I had the email confirmation with me. We just said we would go and see if it was available, if not we would go to the original site. We pulled up and no one was there. Before we could even park the ranger called and straightened it all out. So very nice.
I have two down sides to this campground. The grass was not mowed or cut the whole time we were there. So by the end of our three week trip it was knee high in some spots.
Also, the showers in the bathroom need upgrading. There was only one non-handicap shower. It had just a curtain not a door and no where to put your stuff, very small. It needs a hook or bench or something. And the handicap shower was good, but the shower curtain didn't even cover the whole door opening. Just seems like those could be updated.
Overall a great experience.
