This is probably one of the best lakes and campgrounds we have ever stayed. We come back here from Colorado sometimes twice a year. Wish they had a few more sites with sewer hookups with the water and electric as we like to stay 2 weeks at a time. The campsites are large and well separated and clean. Although we don't use the onsite bathrooms and showers, they appear to be clean as is the whole campground.

We stopped at Kirby Landing for an overnight stay only. We had a spot that was easy in/easy out and perfectly level. Just what we needed after a long day on the road. We had a nice catfish dinner at the Fish Nest in Glenwood.

Park was clean, well-maintained and had all necessary amenities. Our site was a pull-thru with easy access to the swimming area. Photos on the reservation site made selection easy. Park staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Shopping and dining in nearby Murphreesboro was fun. The water level is about 9 feet low right now, but the lake is still great for boating, fishing and swimming.

Not a great place for OTA TV or cell coverage. The lake is looking like it's drying up. There is a motel on site with a marina. Looks like a great place for boating and fishing. Shower/bathrooms are in good shape. Parking is on gravel with some leveling needed. Town of Glenwood is where we shopped for groceries and they have tow decent laundromats if needed. The Caddow River is also in the town of Glenwood if you like to canoe or kayak. We probably won't be back to this campground.

Campers must have a reservation confirmation number before setting up on a campsite. All transactions must be made through recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. |

If arriving more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, call (870) 285-2151 or your reservation will be cancelled and a $20 No-Show fee plus the cost of the first night’s stay will be charged. |

Dumping of “Gray” Water is prohibited. Dump Station is available for proper disposal of waste liquid generated during authorized recreational activities. |

Sanitation: All garbage, trash, litter should be deposited in receptacles (trash cans) for that purpose DAILY. Do not place in fire ring or in large trash bags hanging from lantern post, trees, etc. Trash is picked up daily. |

All campers/day users are required to keep their site free of trash and litter during occupancy and remove all personal equipment and clean their site upon departure. |
