Kirby is our favorite campsite on Greeson. #34 is a great spot..especially if you don’t want to be super close to other campers. There is a good amount of shade. It is on the water, but may not really be later in the summer when the lake level gets low. The bathrooms are nice here. This site is right at the entrance of this section of camp so there is some traffic but it was not bothersome to us. It is also right by the riding/hiking trails and the cool little suspension bridge. There is a ledge/drop off with about a 5 foot drop at this site so it may not be ideal for someone with a toddler. There is a swimming area in this section but no playground, it is in the middle section of sites (not very close). You can get decent cell service here with Verizon, if you’re in the right spot. There is a big boat ramp in this section.

Kirby Landing is a beautiful COE that offers lots of sites with lake views and/or water access. We arrived the day ending a holiday weekend and the park and bathrooms were already clean and trash bins emptied. The only drawback for Kirby is there are no hiking trails, but the road through the campground provides interesting walks and bike rides. For those with ATVs or OTR vehicles, there are miles of trails that looked to be fun to ride. We had Verizon cell service but no TV reception and didn't mind at all.

As usual, Kirby Landing Campgrounds are my favorite place to get away to. Always well kept, usually clean restrooms and showers (sometimes on holiday weekends these can become well used and cluttered, however the cleaning crews get them back up to par every morning). The camp sites are pretty roomy and enough area to make moving around less cumbersome. We actually had the camper and a tent onsite along with a cover tent over the picnic table (plenty of room). There's Kirby Marina along with two other great marinas (Swaha at the Dam and Self Creek next to highway 70) on this beautiful lake. I've been going to this lake for over 30 years and enjoy it tremendously!
