Usually a great campground but this trip not so much. The annual trail scramble with Kirby Landing as headquarters had dirt bikes, sxs and 4wheelers ripping thru campsites, up and down the road and all thru the woods. Very noisy and stressful. Rangers shld patrol more during this event.

It stormed most of the week so we didnt get to use the campground for most of the days. We moved the camper on Monday to get away from the storms.

We didnt get to go because of bad weather. This is why this reservation system is horrible. Locals cant just go camping anymore. You have to book your trip months in advance with the hopes that the weather will be good and you actually get to go. The reservation system needs removed. It a rip off but i am sure the core is making plenty money from it and it helps the out of towners. So who cares about the locals. You think with all that money they could atleast puta lights on the bouys!

We had a great week at Kirby Landing. The sites are well thought out and I believe every site in the east campground has good views. The sites were clean as were the bathrooms. We will definitely be going back.
