This facility needs a major overhaul because everything is over 50 years old. The electric system is in bad shape. The picnic tables are so weathered that the concrete is very rough. The trees need to be maintained better. A huge branch fell on my neighbors (F2) chair. Luckily no one was in the chair because they would have been injured!

We love Piney Bay and have been visiting at least 2-3 times a year for the last 23 years. Always clean and quiet.

We love Piney Bay. My family's been going there for over 40 years. It's our favorite place to camp but, we are disappointed that the camp sites aren't cleaned like they were when Mr Elmer was the custodian. The person responsible for the upkeep now never cleans the firepits or sitting area. Another thing is the dump station. It has been in need of repair since last summer. The foot pedal station doesn't work and the area we have to go to is hard to manuever with our 35 ft RV.

It was pleasant. I was kind of disappointed about not having phone reception in our campsite, but it may have been the carrier I have. Overall it was a good camping trip.

F3 is a nice campsite, and I would definitely recommend it for almost constant shade. The only thing that could have been better is maintenance of the concrete table. The surface has been ravaged by decades of neglect and the unit either needs refinishing or replacement. It is a shame that most of the USCoE and Forestry Sites in Arkansas are underfunded. There needs to be feedback in that half of the money generated actually gets spent on improvements and maintenance. Sadly the money collected goes into the federal budget as a deficit offset just like the petroleum reserve sell off. Without maintenance and supervision, the sites fall into disrepair and become less fun to use. That leads to underutilization and closures.

I am running for Arkansas Attorney General and one of my platform planks is for the State of Arkansas to use its eminent domain powers to "takeover" or lease all federal parks except the Buffalo National River. Having USCoE and Forest Service Campgrounds that compete with the Arkansas State Parks system is an unlawful and unnecessary duplication. Combining the two systems into one would serve everyone better.

Great place to camp. The beach is a bit rocky but not bad.
