What Guests Are Saying
Piney Bay Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with spacious, clean campsites near the water, making it ideal for relaxation and family activities. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean restrooms, and beautiful views, particularly for fishing and kayaking. While some sites may have leveling issues and occasional noise from nearby boats and trains, the overall experience is positive, with many campers planning to return.

Beautiful lake and a very nice campground with it. I was just there for one night but it was a very pleasant stay.

The park is nice but there are a lot of dead trees that should be cut. The trees are getting too big in some spots to be able to get your camper In and use your canopy.

Very nice campsite. Bathrooms were clean. Weather was terrible for the last two days, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. Nice lake view and some great scenic drives to the north.

We had campsite b25. It was waterfront and had a lot of space. The bathroom/shower house was very clean, as was the park. Would definitely stay again.

The electricity at our site would not stay on for more than an hour at a time! We were planning to stay 2 nights but left first thing the next morning. We camp in a pop up camper and rely on electricity for my husband’s oxygen/CPAP machine. We requested a refund for the 1 night that we didn’t stay and we were refused.

It was nice but the campsites were not as well kept as they were last year. We missed Elmer

Beautiful campground! 3 distinctly different camping areas, I suspect the E sites were the first to be built cause they are the most unlevel spots of all and some of the angles you need to make to get into your spot, its very awkward. I stayed in E3 or E4. I'd never been this campground before and those two spots are the closest together in the whole campground, you'd want to be family or close friends with whoever is staying in the other spot. The views of the lake are nice but I felt like I was right on top of my neighbor. He was a friendly guy and all but compared to the rest of the sites at the park, we were very close together. I also needed to go cut some pieces of logs for my front jacks to get the trailer level. 12" tall logs and I needed every inch of it, my tongue jack was barely long enough even after stuffing as many blocks under it as possible before unhooking. After rolling up 3.5" of blocks on the driver side, I was still 2" low of being level. Backing in there was down a hill then hard turn up a hill all in the shape of a capital J, about 120 degrees of turn. Experts only for this spot. I had a great time though, such a beautiful area.

The site was difficult to park in, no water even though I had searched for a site with water. The area was beautiful though.

We are new to camping and have been to Piney Bay twice. We all love the area. (Including my 2 boxers) everyone is nice and helpful. The park is clean and quiet.
