Beautiful campground! 3 distinctly different camping areas, I suspect the E sites were the first to be built cause they are the most unlevel spots of all and some of the angles you need to make to get into your spot, its very awkward. I stayed in E3 or E4. I'd never been this campground before and those two spots are the closest together in the whole campground, you'd want to be family or close friends with whoever is staying in the other spot. The views of the lake are nice but I felt like I was right on top of my neighbor. He was a friendly guy and all but compared to the rest of the sites at the park, we were very close together. I also needed to go cut some pieces of logs for my front jacks to get the trailer level. 12" tall logs and I needed every inch of it, my tongue jack was barely long enough even after stuffing as many blocks under it as possible before unhooking. After rolling up 3.5" of blocks on the driver side, I was still 2" low of being level. Backing in there was down a hill then hard turn up a hill all in the shape of a capital J, about 120 degrees of turn. Experts only for this spot. I had a great time though, such a beautiful area.

The site was difficult to park in, no water even though I had searched for a site with water. The area was beautiful though.

Piney Bay alongside Dardanelle Lake is beautiful, peaceful, spacious and friendly. It is our very favorite place to camp with our travel trailer. We are looking forward to spending our time there as much as possible in 2021.

I have been going to Piney Bay for 40 years and always enjoyed my stay but this year was a little disappointing. They have had a grounds keeper there for years that did a great job keeping the campsites clean and was very friendly. His name was Elmer. This year he lost the bid for the job. The park grounds keeper this year didn't do anything but drive around on his cart. The fire pits were always dirty with trash other campers left and he never cleaned the camping areas. We need Mr Elmer back! He always came around every morning and afternoon to make sure the camp areas were clean for the next camper. I am not the only one that feels this way. I had other campers tell me the same thing.

Sites are nicely "a part" from each other in Section E. There were no sites ACROSS the road in Section E so less people and less noise and less vehicular traffic. Our site had easy access to the water and two of the youngest children (2 and 5) swam both days (with at-waters-edge supervision). The shower and toilets' were a bit of a walk from us (E-2 and E-3) and if that is a consideration, you will need to book something closer, but give up the quiet and peace and easy water access. The man at the office was just oh-so-nice. Truly a friendly and helpful individual. He seemed to CARE about us and the others we saw communicating with him when we were at the "office." Piney Bay is great!
