What Guests Are Saying
Cottonshed Park is a well-maintained campground with friendly and helpful hosts, particularly praised is Park Attendant Stan. Guests enjoyed stunning lake views, clean facilities, and peaceful surroundings, making it a great spot for fishing and relaxation. Some minor concerns included limited parking for boats and road conditions leading to the park, but overall, visitors expressed a strong desire to return.

ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT TIME AT COTTONSHED. MET SOME FAMILY FROM SOUTH CAROLINA LAST YEAR AND THEY COME BACK WHEN THEY CAN. NOT REAL BLOOD FAMILY BUT FEEL LIKE IT. EVERYONE DOWN THERE ARE REALLY GOOD PEOPLE. DAN AND STAN AND BECKY ARE GOOD FRIENDS. DIDN'T CATCH AS MANY FISH AS WE USUALLY DO BUT THE WEATHER WAS AWFUL THOSE 2 WEEKS. BUT WE WILL KEEP GOING BACK. IN FACT WE WILL BE DOWN THERE THE 4TH OF JULY. ALREADY BOOKED. LOL
WE WILL PROBABLY GO BEFORE THEN. WOULDN'T WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE. ONLY ONE THING, I WISH YA'LL WOULD BUILD US A SHED OVER 42. LOL WE GO SO MUCH OUR FRIENDS THINK THAT SPOT SHOULD BE NAMED GADDIS LANE.

The hosts/attendants are fantastic. Facilities clean. Be prepared for bold, stray dogs trying to steal food.

Sites were paved, flat, covered shelter over picnic table, bathrooms had free showers, flush toilet. Stan and Dan, the campground assistants were super nice and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Campground and friendly host.
Roads into the campground from the main highways need some repairs.

Would have given 5 stars, wonderful camp ground, great camp host! A lot of the sites have covered picnic tables along with a firepit with a grill attached, a separate stand up grill, and fish cleaning station. Beautiful sunsets over the lake! BUT, they have a horrible infestation of sugar ants, you know those teeny black ants that take over your life. Make sure you use something to keep them out of your camper, your dog's food, your food, the picnic table...don't leave anything food related out or they will invade. They even swarmed my clean dishes on the picnic table. We stayed here 3 days during the Christmas holiday 2021 and it was great.
