Really disappointed in how the campground has all grown up. They are only cutting the camping spots rather than the fields. It looks bad! I have camped here for many years and hate to see it not as nice as it once was. The camping spots are still nice, though.

Very nice campground. Showers and bathrooms were very nice and kept up well. Plenty of hot water. Bathrooms are air conditioned. Heavy presence of local sheriff department making passes thru the campgrounds. Felt very safe

We have been to this park several times and so enjoyed our visits. However, this time, it was so grown up on the campground, that it looked really bad. Some places hadn’t been mowed in so long, they will probably have to be bush hogged. It was just not kept nice like previously.

We have been coming there for 15 years or more and had a blast but last time we went the campsite was over grown all over the park

We love this site and have been there several times. It is quiet and most of the spots have shade. Our only complaint is the water situation. The faucets are very far away on some units and you must also have a splitter. This time two people were already on our spot and we had to be moved so that we could get water and then had to borrow more hose just to reach it. This will not stop us from returning.

All was excellent except the cleaning crew for the bath rooms. They did clean them but left standing water from their pressure washer. I don't think they ever used a mop The floor was dangerous. I did complain to. a female ranger.

I was surprised at the reduced grass cutting that the USACE did in the campground. I agree not cutting the open field areas should remain uncut but the area down by the river, the areas around the camp sites and a larger area around the playground equipment should have been cut. I can only imagine how many of the young children as well as the adults out with their children felt having to address the chiggers from the high grass. Shame to those who man-dated the orders.
On a better note, the newer of the shower facilities was open and repairs had been made to the damage done by humans using the facility. Thanks to the USACE Dam Quarry team for addressing the problem and getting the repairs done.
Wish the condition of the grounds had been better.
