We had a wonderful stay at Parker Creek! We have stayed here many times and it is always a great experience. The bathrooms are very clean and always well kept. The campsites are well maintained as well as the boat ramp, playground, and swimming area! It is our favorite place to stay on Lake Greeson.

Stayed 6 days. It's a great campground, especially if you are camping with kids! Swimming at a safe beach, fishing, bicycle riding, playground, a nature hike. Downside... Campers leave their sites clean, day use folks come behind and leave their trash. Lots of open sites.

No shower curtains in men shower. Grass needed to be cut. My grandson used our weedeater to make walk ways for campers. Did not see a ranger but once a day if that.

Had 3 spots. 5 small kids couldn’t even play the grass was so high. What happen to the trash cans? Been going to Parker Creek since it was dirt roads. So disappointed.

The closes town to Parker Creek is Murfreesboro. The Chimney Rock Grocery is nice. The Branch station across from the Mexican Restaurant was convenient and very friendly. The Mexican Restaurant has great food. The large fuel station has a restaurant also. I believe it’s called Nanna’s or Nanny’s. The restaurants all have good food including the Feed Bin that has great atmosphere and Terri’s place. The Diamond Mine is right outside of Murfreesboro. Hot Springs is very close as well.

From Texarkana, Arkansas, take Interstate 30 east for 46 mi to Prescott. Continue onto Highway 19 north to Narrows Dam. After crossing the bridge across the Little Missouri River, proceed about 3 mi to the campground.

General

  • Campers must have a reservation confirmation number before setting up on a campsite. All transactions must be made through recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.
  • If arriving more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, call (870) 285-2151 or your reservation will be cancelled and a $20 No-Show fee plus the cost of the first night’s stay will be charged.
  • Dumping of “Gray” Water is prohibited. Dump Station is available for proper disposal of waste liquid generated during authorized recreational activities. 
  • Sanitation: All garbage, trash, litter should be deposited in receptacles (trash cans) for that purpose DAILY. Do not place in fire ring or in large trash bags hanging from lantern post, trees, etc. Trash is picked up daily.
  • All campers/day users are required to keep their site free of trash and litter during occupancy and remove all personal equipment and clean their site upon departure.
  • Pets must be caged, penned, or kept on a 6-foot leash. PETS MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED. All animal waste must be properly disposed of. Pets are prohibited in sanitary facilities, playgrounds, and swimming beaches.
  • Quiet hours are between; no amplified music.
  • During the Peak Season (1 May to Labor Day) 14-day Maximum Length of Stay (NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED).
