Nice campsites, good fishing access nearby for the lake and Narrows. Used RV hookup to charge my EV but breaker tended to trip after a few hours.

We were in site #1 and #2. We had a good view of the lake. It did rain and there was quite a bit of puddling. But it also dried up very quickly. We of course visited the crater of diamonds state park to try our luck at finding a diamond. We did not find one but our grandkids had a great day of playing in the dirt!! Other than the drive up to the campground we would definitely visit again.

This is a nice campground but the road to it is not made for big rigs. It is manageable but for us it is not worth it. It is narrow, steep and winding. Definitely unhook your tow if you have one before starting up. Also, there is nobody at the guard shack, no maps of campground available, and no signs directing you to the campsites. I had to walk the road to find our site so we knew which direction to drive. There is NO service at the campground, not horrible but, I could have checked the COE website for a map if there would have been service. Just would be nice to know before you get there. If you camp with a smaller camper, it might be a great spot for you.

Not going to share good things about Parker Creek because more people will try to come. I am selfish in that I would like it to stay as pristine as possible. The bathhouses do need to be updated and bring back the camp host! It is a wonderful place marred only by the crowds on holidays and weekends that bring their booze and disregard camping etiquette, such as walking through others campsites, letting their dogs off leash, playing loud music etc.

It was a very nice park and has everything we wanted. We had a hiking trail, kayaking, and we were able to ride our bikes around. I like that they have water and electric as well. We will definitely go back!

From Texarkana, Arkansas, take Interstate 30 east for 46 mi to Prescott. Continue onto Highway 19 north to Narrows Dam. After crossing the bridge across the Little Missouri River, proceed about 3 mi to the campground.

General

  • Campers must have a reservation confirmation number before setting up on a campsite. All transactions must be made through recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.
  • If arriving more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, call (870) 285-2151 or your reservation will be cancelled and a $20 No-Show fee plus the cost of the first night’s stay will be charged.
  • Dumping of “Gray” Water is prohibited. Dump Station is available for proper disposal of waste liquid generated during authorized recreational activities. 
  • Sanitation: All garbage, trash, litter should be deposited in receptacles (trash cans) for that purpose DAILY. Do not place in fire ring or in large trash bags hanging from lantern post, trees, etc. Trash is picked up daily.
  • All campers/day users are required to keep their site free of trash and litter during occupancy and remove all personal equipment and clean their site upon departure.
  • Pets must be caged, penned, or kept on a 6-foot leash. PETS MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED. All animal waste must be properly disposed of. Pets are prohibited in sanitary facilities, playgrounds, and swimming beaches.
  • Quiet hours are between; no amplified music.
  • During the Peak Season (1 May to Labor Day) 14-day Maximum Length of Stay (NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED).
