Pretty campground. Nice camping sites. Good sandy beach and nice swimming area. Playground for kids. We had an electrical problem and the gentleman fixed it immediately. Very nice and helpful.
Our families camp there several times a year.

We stayed in E 34 and was a good view of the river/bay. Lots of shade, the picnic table and fire ring is behind the spot which was good for us. Our kids liked the playground, especially the tire swing. They have a swimming area, however it was still a little too cool for us to use it. My older daughter liked that she could still get phone reception and use her internet. They have a couple of bath houses, which were in pretty good shape, hot water for the shower, but the drain for it was clogged at the time, & needs more hooks for hanging up bags/clothes. Overall we had a good time & will definitely be back.

Always enjoy camping at Shoal Bay but unfortunately our stay was cut short this year due to camper malfunction.

We loved our spot at F3. The only bad comment I can leave is that the bathrooms were not as cleaned as usual. May be because the park was full and some didn't pickup after themselves!

We were in P5A and it was horribly nasty. Evidently the park has been working on the drainage issue and there was standing water right where the stairs of the camper came down. We actually put two mats down and the mud and water was still squeezing up through our shoes. The camper was nasty from all the mud. My 80 year old mother fell because it was so wet and nasty. The water was there the entire time we were there and there wasn't any rain. We have another weekend booked over the 4th of July weekend in P4A and I'm hoping we don't have to deal with that again. Because that campsite looked like it was dealing with the same thing that we were.

Wanted to give a 5 star rating, but I was disappointed to see some campers draining their gray water by hoses out on the ground all weekend without being corrected by park attendant.

- NOTICE: Group shelters are open for reservations, Please follow all CDC/State guidelines for social distancing, sanitizing, and face covering for COVID-19. NOTE: A special event application is required for any event including, but not limited to one or more of the following: 1. An entry, spectator, or participating fee is charged 2. If you have an anticipated attendance of 100 or more persons 3. An extraordinary impact on project resources is expected 4. Corps personnel provide additional patrols, surveillance, refuse collection, and/or crowd control 5. Event involves the use of concession tents and/or vendors 6. Event involves Bounce Houses/Bump N Jump Inflatables 7. Fishing Tournament 8. Music Festival: In addition to the special event application, you may be asked to submit the following information before approval can be granted: (1) proof of liability insurance; (2) event details & description; (3) schedule of events; (4) parking plans. PROHIBITED: Please note that livestock, exotic animals, explosives, loaded projectile firing devices, pinatas, water balloons, and commercial activities are prohibited on project lands unless written permission has been received from the District Commander. If commercial tents are permitted for your special event, please note that driving tent stakes into concrete or asphalt on project lands is prohibited. For additional information regarding Special Event Applications & Permit Fees, please contact the Russellville Project Office at (501) 340-1762.
