About Cricket Creek

Cricket Creek is a spacious and sunny campground located along the Long Creek Arm of Table Rock Lake in the Arkansas countryside. With panoramic views of the lake and the rocky bluffs, which rise above the water, Cricket Creek is one of the more scenic campgrounds in the area. Cricket Creek is very popular in the spring months of April & May, & has become very busy in the summer months as well. This is a great setting for visitors and campers to relax and enjoy the lake.

Our experience at this campground was unfortunately overshadowed by the behavior of two females who identified themselves as hosts. Rather than creating a welcoming and respectful environment, they approached guests in a confrontational and unprofessional manner that many of us found uncomfortable. Taking pictures of our license plate and called the game warden on us for not buying a pass. (Office was closed with all blinds down and had a office closed sign)

What was especially frustrating was the inconsistent enforcement of campground rules. Guests are clearly told that dogs are not allowed in certain areas, and my family fully understands and respects those rules. However, on multiple occasions, we, along with several other campers and pedestrians witnessed the hosts bringing their own dog into the restricted area. The dog was allowed to relieve itself wherever it pleased, despite the same rules being enforced against guests. (Isn’t even a service animal)

In addition, the dog barked continuously throughout our visit and was noticeably louder and more disruptive than any of the children playing nearby. Rules should apply equally to everyone, especially to those responsible for enforcing them.

Campgrounds should feel welcoming, fair, and professionally managed. Unfortunately, the double standards and hostile attitude we experienced made it difficult to enjoy our stay.

I hope this helps a family in the future. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The host and cleaner of the campground both did a fantastic job of making the area beautiful and keeping the grounds and bathrooms clean! It was a peaceful, beautiful place. Our campsite was very shaded and as we drove around, noticed that the whole campground didn't seem to have a bad place to camp! They all had shade, a large pad and a separate little picnic table area with a fire ring. It made for a perfect long weekend! Highly recommend.

Not much view very wooded. 30 amp on power Pedestal went out and we had to use 50 amp. Just use 50-3- adapter. They did service in AM and fix. There were kids riding all in roads and I saw one dog not on leash. Host was very nice and accommodating. Great for one night stay
