Snowbird trip south we stopped at Rising Star. Nice small campground with new bathroom and shower house. The camping spots open in the winter are back among the trees and somewhat protected from the winds. It is about 10 mi from pine bluff and 15 mi to walmart. Their is a camp host on site full time so it makes one feel pretty safe camping here. Plenty of fishing right on the campground with river flowing past. Large casino in pine bluff if you enjoy that. Town of pine bluff not doing well. Camp host did not recommend to much in town. Black top road to campground was in decent shape with some damaged spots.

Getting There
From Pine Bluff, Arkansas, take U.S. Highway 65 south for 7.8 mi to Linwood. Turn left on Blankinship Road, drive 3.5 mi and follow the signs for Rising Star Campground.

Rising Star Campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 65, which is approximately 7.8 miles from Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- The host is available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out is at 2 p.m.
- For group shelter, check-in is at 8 a.m. and check-out is at 10 p.m.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Purchase firewood locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
Wildlife & food storage
- Clean, drain, and dry all water-contacting equipment and dispose of waste properly.
