Tar Camp was a true gem that we experienced. A beatifically cared for park with serene river front setting. Quiet, and enjoyable.

This is a very quiet, well maintained park on the Arkansas River. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Our only problem was using Google maps for navigation to the park. It says you've arrived several miles before you're actually there. Just keep driving, and you'll get there eventually.

It was a very cool place to camp and for the fishers. Only thing lacking was the swimming. Other than that it was quiet, peaceful, nice playground also. Will go again.

We have stayed here 5 times. We stay here on our way to Florida. The park is quiet and peaceful. We enjoy coming here every year. It’s usually in the summer and the bath house is usually really hot, not air conditioned. Ranger drives through regularly. We stay at site 22 at the very end of the campground right along the river.
