I find odd that I can never find anyone at the front check in and get return calls from the number that’s posted.

Great visit. This was a good spot. Had some shade, covered picnic table. It was a short walk to the showers. They were clean and maintained very well for a crowded holiday weekend. Even though it was crowded camping spot wise, it didn’t feel that way when you walk, bike, fish etc. The camp host is very friendly and helpful. We love Tar Camp.

The park keeper is excellent. She does great with keeping everything nice and clean. We love Tar Camp. We stayed during Camp-Oween and we already can’t wait until next year. It was such a great time.

Site A 10 water leaks non stop. Tons of holes all over we kept tripping in. Park hosted a Trick or Treat event…. where campers were expected to hand out candy. Only problem? Nobody told us!? So kids start coming around up into our site all night and we have to keep telling people we didn’t even know this event was happening. Didn’t appreciate the huge spotlight shining into our site while trying to grill, have family time, and sit around the fire—-which is what we went camping to do. Need to let campers know of events that affect their reservation dates. Before booking.
Best part of the weekend? The river view… beautiful.
