Our stay at Tar Camp was wonderful and peaceful. We booked an extra night so we wouldn't have to break camp in the rain. Our fire pit was so full of trash which we did not use. It would be so beneficial to have a bathroom in the D section and a working street light. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back. Thank you!

Nice quiet campground but someone needs to take care of the overgrown grass and weeds

This park was stunning, shady and beautiful view, right on the ArKansas River. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Never been to this park, but if in the area, I will be back.
With the America the Beautiful pass, after discount, this park was not only beautiful, but a great price.

Great sites right on the river, only thing was the ants. All around the picnic table and ground ants everywhere we sprayed and sprayed but they kept coming. Not fire ants but them would crawl up your feet and ankles

Very peaceful and beautiful place to camp. Enjoyed seeing all the barges coming up and down the river.

We had a family camping trip for my mother’s 90th birthday. Everything was wonderful. Camp host was awesome.

The park was extremely well maintained.
The RV sites offered great views of the Arkansas River and plenty of room, not too close together. The camp host, Karen was very friendly and willing to answer our many questions. We had a great stay and will definitely be back with our kayaks.
The only downside is that the park is not open year around.
