We have been camping at Prairie Creek for years. Unfortunately this trip was disappointing. The campground is run down. Our campsite had weeds almost 2 ft tall. There didn't appear to be anyone patrolling the grounds and there were several campsites that people were living in very poor conditions. We won’t be back

Our camping trip was very pleasant. The boat ramp was a little bit congested while trying to pull the boat out. Some people were friendly and some people were quite rude. I think this is typical at just about any loading and unloading zone. The campgrounds were very clean. The only thing I might suggest would be putting up a few more awnings and the Sunshine areas.

We loved the shaded, beautiful surroundings of our camp site, the quick and easy access to water and even just the quiet peacefulness of the campground.

We were able to find a nice flat spot to set up our tent in the site that we reserved. I picked the site from the pictures thinking about a flat spot. Many sites do not have a large flat spot for a large tent. Staking out the tent was difficult with the rocky soil. The shower house was clean, but the shower curtains in each shower stall were missing. So hte changing area of the stall did not stay dry and in fact the showers tended to flood most of the floor in the shower house. We also visited the beach for a swim, free with site rental. The upper part of the beach is very rocky, but near the water's edge it is mostly sand with a few larger smooth stones.

It’s a great place, and a good place to unwind with Greta views and good spots that feel private Although there isn’t much security and park officials don’t make rounds often, it’s rare they drive by and especially at night.

From Rogers, Arkansas, take Highway 12/Prairie Creek Drive east for just over 3 mi. Turn left onto North Park Road and follow to the campground.

Prairie Creek is accessible via Highway 12, which runs east from Rogers, Arkansas. This highway provides the main route to the campground.
Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
