What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek Campground offers a beautiful, shaded environment with clean facilities and easy access to the lake, making it a popular choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While some sites are uneven and require leveling, many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and well-maintained picnic areas. However, there have been concerns about safety, drainage issues in shower houses, and a few inconsistent amenities that could benefit from improvement.

Great park, very clean and peaceful.
Great plenty of fishing opportunities, walking trails, large swimming area, boat launch and peaceful accommodations.
Not all sites are level, make sure to bring ample leveling material.
Only disappointment was with previous campers as they used the burn pit as a trash pit and didn’t care to burn it or remove the trash. A push stroller box and drink bottles were all in burn pit. Not sure why someone thinks it’s ok to do this.
Be aware ticks are abundant here, we stayed in August and the dogs and us had multiple tick bites. Be prepared!
Make sure to visit the Daisy Airgun museum in town.

We loved it. The campground was clean, the bathrooms were cleaned more than one time a day. The Rangers were outstanding! They monitored the swim beach by walking the beach and not just driving by. The grounds were well kept. A great family campground. We felt safe and had a wonderful time. It’s at the top of our list to camp!
