What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek Campground offers a beautiful, shaded environment with clean facilities and easy access to the lake, making it a popular choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While some sites are uneven and require leveling, many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and well-maintained picnic areas. However, there have been concerns about safety, drainage issues in shower houses, and a few inconsistent amenities that could benefit from improvement.

A leisurely trip to explore NWA, we found Prairie Creek Campground to be centrally located, easily accessible with clean facilities and well maintained area. Will definitely camp here again.

Very nice campground, very shady. Not the greatest to get to the lake. Long wait, giving tickets left and right due to no parking. Campsite is great, getting to water is nightmare.

We had a lovely time camping. The only thing that I could be unhappy about is there was an old stake lying in the middle of our tent spot that could have easly ripped a hole into our tent but we had thankfully put a tarp down first. Other than that everything was great!

Nice campground, clean but the spots are so close. The lake is extremely busy on the weekends and the way they seperated the campground from access to the lake is rather inconvenient.

This is very convenient to the Rogers/Bentonville/Springdale/Fayetteville area. The lake and adjacent day use area provide many family activity opportunities. While the rest rooms were always clean and well maintained, there is a problem with drainage in the shower house. There was always a puddle of water on the floor from the showers.

Everything was great but for some reason the heaters were on in the women's restroom

It was a beautiful site. But there was no electricity the first night which really stinks. It was repaired in the morning.

It was the week of the Fourth of July and a Hot week! But the site was shaded and the little bit of breeze helped. The gentleman that checked us in was helpful. The only issue I had was that the bathroom was like a sauna. It really could use a ventilation system. Bring camper levelers bc many of the sites are far from level.
Lots of birds (22spp in two day hikes), deer, and 4 lil’ armadillos.
I’d go back, for sure.

The park attendants were nonexistent. Police drive through once a day around 10 pm. We had personal items stolen from our picnic table. The bathrooms are disgusting… next level disgusting. No one cleans them or repairs them. There’s no lighting in some bathrooms. An inch of water across the floor at all times in the main bathhouse. These spots to camp are cut into very uneven ground making it hard to set up any camping items. I would not recommend staying here unless absolutely necessary. Sites are packed together with no real space to set a tent up. I have stayed at other parks in the Arkansas and this one is extremely deficient. Seek other accommodations.😒
