What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek Campground offers a beautiful, shaded environment with clean facilities and easy access to the lake, making it a popular choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While some sites are uneven and require leveling, many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and well-maintained picnic areas. However, there have been concerns about safety, drainage issues in shower houses, and a few inconsistent amenities that could benefit from improvement.

The campsite was clean and ready. Nice place to camp. However the pad was really un-level.

The campground was very nice and clean. The only thing that sucked was the toilets were covered in spiders and knats.

We stayed at site 57, a decent site, however there was a bunch of little trash scattered about the site.
We had TONS of traffic though the area driving quite fast to the beach. Wouldn't stay there again.

Relaxing stay except for it looked like a tent comun at the end of the drive. And they where in and out all night long everyday I was there.looked like a bunch of drug addicts.

The facility was in good condition, but the bathrooms were locked. It seems to me that bathrooms should be available any time the campground is open.

My advice: don't stay here. Lawns unmowed. Sherriff's deputies out twice, apparently on official business, to visit other campers. Homeless lady and two small children camped near bathrooms for days. On out last night it rained and in the morning my wife couldn't take a shower because the homeless mom was asleep with the children on the shower floor. Bathrooms were filthy for days at a time. Soiled diapers layed on the floor of the womens bathroom for a week; trash to include empty pizza boxes overflowed the mens trashcan. Showers were filthy and don't even think about the condition of the toilets. The ranger came through several times, and although we could clearly see that the homeless lady was there with trash all around her tent, the ranger somehow missed it. This place isn't safe and it's a pity that our tax money is being wasted in such a fashion.
