The gentleman that goes around and cleans up the park is very diligent. I had a nice clean path to the showers and restroom. My only complaint would be that there is no soap in the men’s restroom. I always bring a bar with me just in case. Other than that, this place is very well-maintained and a nice place to get away. There’s also a great view of Dardanelle rock and easy access to fishing on the Arkansas river.

The park is located close to town and there is much to do in the area. The campground is a very well upkept park with spacious sites and large shades trees. Unfortunately, those shade trees did not fend off the brutal afternoon sun at our site that over looked the Arkansas River. The bath house is dated but maintained and inconveniently located near the entrance of the campground so that made for quite a long walk from the far end. On our first morning, we woke up to literally everything covered with carpenter ants. In totes, ice chest, and crawling on us. Went to Wal-Mart and bought Hot Shot Ant Spray and sprayed around the area and that did the trick. Our neighbor was having the same problem. These were all just minor inconveniences and overall we had a very pleasant stay at this park and would go stay again.

When we arrived to set up for our Back to School picnic, there was a crew mowing the grounds. Then, a lady arrived to clean up the tables and blew the leaves and grass out of the pavilion for us. She was so friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the cleanliness of the pavilion. Our event was a huge success for our families at Arkansas Virtual Academy. Thank you!

Nice campground, pretty space, well cared for campground, close to town and convenient. But, we really appreciated the campground host guiding us to an RV repair shop that was honest and fair (AC failed and they had the parts, but just fixed the problem and got us on our way).

Nice park. Site B22. Full sun. It was not a good site for the middle of summer.

The area was clean and well cared for. However, the grill needs some repair because the brackets used to raise or lower the hot coals to the upper grill have corroded to the point the metal is no longer able to support the coal plate.

Nice park, large shaded sites. Quiet. Close to town of needed. Excellent cell service.
There was one bath house for the whole park, and it WAS NOT centrally located. We happened to be in the furthest site from the bathhouse, and it's a hike.
The worst part for us was the lack of BBQ grills in the campground. They had old, huge dilapidated ground fire ring grills, but you would need a stack of fire wood to use those, if they were functional.
So we had to hike a quarter mile to the 'city park' area where typical BBQ grills were provided.
Overall I would recommend this park, especially for kids with bikes and maybe for a convenient stopover for a might or two. It is not really a VaCa destination, at least mot for me.
