Large paved sites. Clean park and restrooms. Helpful and friendly gate attendants. Liked seeing "Fred,” the gator, near the campground. (In the water!)

Nearby "Old Washington" State Park is really a historic site worth spending some time at. We also went to Hope, AR to see President Clinton’s childhood home.

Would have like to have spent more time exploring the area.

We were walk-ins. It was so easy to find a great spot. The host welcomed us and asked us if we knew how to reserve it and we had no problems. While setting up, a volunteer came by to make sure we were ok too. The restroom/shower facilities were clean and pleasant too. Loved the campground and lake. Very peaceful and clean. Definitely will return.

It is a very affordable campsite, beautiful scenery. The bathroom and showers were close and very clean. The only thing that I did not like is the gates were left open so people that were not camping could drive down there. I think they need to keep the gates closed and install a gate code. However, there is a couple that stays on site to overlook the place, and the sheriff made a drive through, making it feel safe.

I camped during the off-season, in late December and early January. Very quiet and peaceful. My campsite was ideal, being paved and perfectly level, and very close to the bath house. As usual, the facility was kept very clean and I enjoyed my stay. However, even in the off-season, the maximum stay is 14 days. At many other ACOE facilities, you can stay up to 42 days during the off-season, but the Little Rock District has not reinstated that rule. There were only 2 other campers in the lower campsite other than myself. I never got the chance to go fishing, but I enjoyed my stay and would easily recommend Beard's Bluff to other campers. I stayed in site 15 in my 25' travel trailer. The local Ashdown ACOE office was open and available and the people there were friendly and "at your service".
