We stayed in a group site we were able to reserve at the last minute so that we could wait out a storm. We were paddling about 90 miles of the beautiful Buffalo River and were glad for a safe place to stop without worry about how high the river might rise. We found the camp hosts to be friendly, the visitors center was excellent and the rangers very helpful. The only downside were the bathrooms not being as clean as hoped but that is likely due to the NPS personnel cuts. This looked like a great place to stay in the main campground too.

Me and my wife took our anniversary trip and stayed 6 nights at the walk-in campsite. We had a very great experience. Clean restrooms and showers. We will definitely be returning.

Very peaceful and beautiful campground. Need to be cautious of permanent resident who likes to harass and intimidate campers he doesn’t care for but the campground host supports them - seems to be okay. Showers are nice and hot. Well maintained campground. Would have rated a 5 if not for the harassment.
