The park is in a beautiful setting along the banks of the Buffalo National River. Campsites are kept very clean. The public restrooms/showers are kept very clean as well. NOTE: The campsites do not have sewer connections! The dump site is located on the road to the park, up on the ridge. This makes it very inconvenient to tow your little blue "honey bucket" all the way out of the canyon to the dump site. So, conserve space in your holding tanks! Use the public facilities for showering, etc.
Canoeing on the river is a great experience. The outfitters, located near the park, will make it easy to get on and off the river. Give it a try! I recommend you visit this park!

Great place to camp. We went midweek so the park was not full of campers. Our site number 63 was flat and was in a very good location. Be advised that you will not get a cell signal or a TV signal but you can drive up to the top of the park and get a cell signal.
The town of Yellville is close by and has a full service grocery store if you need to shop. Friends rented canoes and had a great time on the river. Enjoy

We had spot D59 at Buffalo Point for a weekend in April and had an excellent time. The spot was great. We had an 18' camper and a tent on the tentpad. Electric and water worked great and the ground was level. The bathrooms were close by and clean. We did have a fairly aggressive raccoon hanging around on the first night. He actually unlatched my cooler in the middle of the night and ate some of my freezer ice pack, so watch out for that. Otherwise, everything was great.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Utilities
- Water and electricity services are unavailable from November 15th to March 14th yearly.

Safety & rules
- Climbing or diving from bluffs is highly discouraged for safety reasons.
- Swimming alone during high water conditions is prohibited for safety reasons.
Pets
- Pets are not allowed on park trails except for designated trails listed in the rule.

- Do not move firewood; obtain it locally to prevent pest spread.
Local regulations
- Special events require a Special Use Permit beyond pavilion reservations.
