First the office was only open later in the week. In loop D the turn around had a tree stump that limited the space you had to make the turn. It needs to bee removed. We were disappointed with the condition of the sites. The vertical back stops were rotting, the wooden outlines of the site needed to be replace and we had electrical issues that threw our breaker. The shower houses need updating. We were disappointed in the overall upkeep of a national park.

My time there was everything I hope that it would be. It was relaxing, peaceful, even on a busy memorial weekend. The staff is amazing always trying to help in anyway possible. I do feel like the trail for the Indian house (I believe that’s what it’s called) should be marked better. Luckily I was able to join up with another group that knew their way around. They even said the trail needed to be marked better.

Was please with our stay - our spot choice (in Loop B) was not one that worked best for our set-up, but we were able to make it work and were very pleased with the overall stay. Bathhouse was clean, but had very little ventilation (so it was hot and muggy no matter what time of day we used it).
The beach area right next to loop B was amazing! Lots of room to spread out and see the views, watch the river adventurers, and the night sky!
Absolutely loved the hiking trails that were available - especially the one out to the Indian House Cave - was worth every bit of effort it took (BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING) to make the complete loop!
We are definitely willing to camp here again!

We had a wonderful experience at Buffalo Point Campground! Our campsite was shaded, spacious, and very close to the water, which made it easy to walk down and enjoy the river whenever we wanted. The campground was extremely clean and well maintained.
One thing I really appreciated was that our campsite had a sign with our last name on it when we arrived, so there was no confusion about where we were supposed to camp. The bathrooms and showers were clean throughout our stay, and there were plenty of trash and recycling receptacles conveniently located around the campground.
The campground hosts were friendly and helpful, and the entire area felt very safe and welcoming. There were lots of activities and things going on around the campground, making it a fun place for families. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely camp here again!

Our family had an excellent camping experience at Buffalo Point Campground! Clean facilities, friendly, attentive rangers, full hookups, great neighbors, and of course, the VIEWS! Highly recommend this campground!

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Utilities
- Water and electricity services are unavailable from November 15th to March 14th yearly.

- Camping is free outside of the reservation season.
Safety & rules
- Climbing or diving from bluffs is highly discouraged for safety reasons.
- Swimming alone during high water conditions is prohibited for safety reasons.
Pets
- Pets are not allowed on park trails except for designated trails listed in the rule.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; obtain it locally to prevent pest spread.
Local regulations
- Special events require a Special Use Permit beyond pavilion reservations.
- Business services are prohibited without proper authorization or permit in the park.
