This is a great area to view the dark sky. The park is clean, shady and was quiet.

Host Mr. Stephens and Ranger Gidget were very helpful and kind. we stayed 6 nights at loop D. It was very hot(August), the river was low but flotable. We floated the 4.6 trip using Wild Bills outfitters. Only had to drag the kayaks once for about 50 yards. Next day hiked the Indian Rock House trail loop. Lots of fun but was hot. The Natural Bathtub was a nice respite. Also went to Blanchard Springs Cavern. The only issue was that the shower house was not cleaned very well before we left. Met several campers in the area and all were friendly. Cant wait to go again next spring.

The Buffalo Point campground site was great! The access to the river was perfect and the park rangers were so helpful and kind. My only complaint is the lack of updated shower houses and bathrooms and no cell service. I didn’t mind not getting work related texts but am concerned about the ability to get help or assistance if needed.

A group of 11 camped here for the night. The following morning, we set off on an overnight canoe float using Buffalo River Float Service. Buffalop Point campsite had flush toilets, picnic tables, and water spigots. Campground host and his wife dropped by to say hello. We have used this campground on other occassions. We hope to return next summer.

The faucets were removed from the bathroom sinks the showers only had hot water it was 100 plus degrees in August. There was no wifi and the tree above my site was dying and filled my site with massive piles of leaves, no other sites had this issue. I will not be returning.

We got a camp upgrade that was unexpected but definitely appreciated. Camp hosts were extremely helpful and the facilities were in good condition. Had a great time with family and already planning our next trip. Thank you to all the hosts, volunteers and Rangers.
