This spot offers very little shade and the ground is not very level for full sized cots with air mattresses on them. We had to get crafty and make some “leveling blocks” to keep from falling off the bed lol. Our tents were blazing once we came in from the water every evening to the point we had our shampoos/deodorants, etc inside our coolers every day after. This was our 8th year staying at this campground and it’s definitely our favorite —bathhouses are always kept clean and supplied, park rangers are always super friendly and helpful, but just this particular site wasn’t the best for comfort. B30, which isn’t suitable for tents) was very nice for our friend’s camper, however.

We had one space reserved June 6 through June 11 and family reserved two adjacent spaces June 9 through June 11. Despite poor weather forecasts, weather was great - one day with rain early. It was cool in the morning - light jackets for comfort - and sunny much of the time. Perfect short weather. We had a great camp hosts. They worked tirelessly to make everyone's vacation run smoothly. All the facilities we used (Bathrooms with warm showers) worked flawlessly despite the campsite being totally full of all ages. The star of the trip was - as usual - the Buffalo River. All our crew agreed that the conditions were perfect. The river was high enough that no "dragging" was ever necessary, but low enough so the experienced had to be concerned about those less experienced. The water was crystal-clear, one could see all the way to the bottom on even deep holes. Water temperature was ideal - a little cool on the first immersion, but perfect on the warm days. The outfitters were on time, accommodating and helpful. One of our best family trips of the 32 years we have been coming.

Nice area, campground was convenient to recreational activities. Restrooms were clean but in need of updating.
