I used to come here about one week out of every month through Thousand Trails. I had taken a break for a while because, honestly, the park had gone downhill back then there were issues with people hanging around and some uncomfortable experiences at the front office. But I decided to give it another shot in 2024, and at first, I was really glad I did. Check-in was always smooth, and the front desk staff made a huge difference. Ashton or Charlotte made everything easy they would even pre-book my spot, which you just don’t see often. What a difference from Thousand Trails. It felt like the staff genuinely cared, and that kept me coming back. I even found myself stopping by occasionally just to grab a soda on my way home from work because I liked the place that much. Over time, I started coming regularly again and even upgraded to a pull-through site. It cost a bit more, but I didn’t mind because the service and atmosphere made it worth it. Unfortunately, around December, things started to change. The park wasn’t being maintained the same way there was trash around the grounds and even on the sites. I’d mention it, and I did see Ashton and maintenance guy Alias trying to keep up, but it felt like too much was slipping. The gate also became unreliable, which is a serious concern when it can damage your rig or vehicle. Cost my friend Thousands to fix his rig. On top of that, the charm the place used to have just isn’t there anymore. It used to feel welcoming and personal, but now it comes off more like a corporate wannabe mess like it lost what made it special in the first place. The last time I came, in January, I couldn’t bring myself to stay. The condition of the park had gotten worse, and even for just one week, it didn’t feel worth it. I had considered coming back again instead of spending my usual $560 elsewhere, but after hearing from others at Thousand Trails that the water system hadn’t been working properly for over a week, that was the final straw. That’s not just inconvenient it’s a health issue!!!!! THINK about your customers!! I’ve spent a lot of money staying here over the past couple of years, but I can’t justify coming back under these conditions. I really hope things turn around, but for now, I won’t be returning.

After hiking about 38 km (around 24 miles) on the PCT and not having washed for days, you honestly don’t care what a campground looks like anymore. What matters is how you’re treated—and that’s where this place really delivers.
I was warmly welcomed, given towels and soap, and finally enjoyed a proper hot shower in a clean bathroom. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, and I didn’t run into any issues during my stay.
Yes, the place looks a bit dated, and the pool is currently empty—but there’s probably a reason for that. Negative reviews and heavy reliance on Google ratings don’t always tell the full story. A bit more positivity could really help this campground get back on its feet.
For me, after a long and exhausting day in the mountains, this place had everything I needed. I felt taken care of—and that’s why it’s an easy five stars from me.

This place was amazing! The customer service was so great, and everyone was so sweet and welcoming to us as PCT hikers. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Marilyn was so friendly in pointing out the hiker box, and Matthew had such great energy and made the vibe so fun. Louis was also so helpful. Overall, I highly recommend stopping here as a hiker!

I'm writing this review because I know management reads them.
I've only lived here for a few months. the one thing that convinced me to stay was Ashton.
She helped us get settled into a cabin, made sure we felt safe and secure, and continued checking on us long after we arrived. As I looked around the property, I noticed some areas that were dirty and others that needed repairs. When I mentioned it to her, she smiled and said something I'll never forget: "It will get better. Our manager is working hard to clean things up. This camp will change your life the way it changed mine."
Since then, anytime I've called or texted her—even on her days off—she has always responded, answered my questions, or found a solution right away. That level of dedication is rare.
Paying $1,600 a month for a spot here is expensive, but the customer service is what keeps me here. Ashton genuinely cares about the residents and goes above and beyond every single day.
If she ever leaves, I know I won't be the only one considering leaving as well. Many of us stay because of the way she treats people. She is the heart of this campground and a big reason why loyal customers continue to come back.
I also want to address the review below because, as someone who was there, I am genuinely shocked by what I read. That is not how the situation played out at all.
What saddened many of us residents was watching a group of customers treated the staff so poorly. The employees here work hard, remain professional, and do their best to help everyone, even when they are being disrespected. There were many witnesses present, and what was described in that review does not reflect what actually happened.
The staff members here deserve respect for the work they do. Seeing them attacked for simply enforcing rules and trying to do their jobs was disappointing and unfair. The reason so many of us continue to stay here is because of employees like Ashton, Marilyn, Elias and the rest of the team, who continue showing kindness and professionalism even in difficult situations. My advice to future customers: …the only thing free in life is oxygen! Please don’t disrespect the staff because they’re enforcing rules! I’m giving it a 3 stars overall because the campground needs work. Customer service is what is keeping it alive right now

I had a very disappointing experience at LA RV Resort. The employees had bad attitudes and constantly wanted to argue about prices even though we had already paid. They even started charging us for random things, which was never clearly explained beforehand.
The campground itself was not well maintained. There was barely any grass, and the restrooms were dirty and did not seem to be cleaned regularly. One of the most frustrating parts was that the pool did not open at the time it was supposed to, which disappointed many guests.
