We find this campground very enjoyable. The camp host was very nice. The toilets very clean. The upper sites are bigger and farther apart. We like the hiking trails and that the campground is close to the wineries. There is no electrical or sewer hook ups but they do have water. Our small trailer is all solar so not a concern for electrical. There is no dump station and I don't know where one is. Perhaps close Vail lake KOA will let you dumb for a fee or the casino that is close. The camp host would know. We spent Thanksgiving here one year and it was awesome! We love this camp ground and can't wait to get back.

It was a fine campground. We were close to the entrance, which meant a lot of people going in and out. Our site also had zero shade, FYI.

Camp Hosts Vicky and Dave are wonderful people who maintain this campground and go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. We stayed for 5 days and had a great time exploring the trails and the campgrounds. Vicky and Dave were kind enough to suggest a variety of nearby activities as well as a visit to the Us Forestry Department to meet Neil for a tour of the truck and equipment. Neil even let me use the hose on the truck to spray my daughter (she loved it).
I recommend this campsite!

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

  • Check fire restrictions before visiting, as wood and charcoal fires may be prohibited.
  • Buy firewood locally and burn it on-site to protect California's forests.
