Reserved the site #7 (double fee site, for 15 people) about a month ago,
Arrived at the site (~1.5 hr drive to get here) on the reserved date, site was Closed, and couldn't be used.
Talked to the camp host, he said he notified Recreation.gov long ago for site being closed.
Called Recreation.gov, they said they were not notified of any closure of this site.
Was offered to stay at an empty (only available) site which was slopy and small for my group, so had to turn half of my group away back home
Very disappointed how the system worked, and how they pingponged their fault and the lack of responsibility of either ends.

Camp host was helpful with trying his best to relocate us to usable spots and did come to check on us when we were relocated. We had a very large group. The sites 16, 17, 18 were not usable though. Pick another spot! These sites are filled with dead chopped down trees. The rest of the campsites seems okay, some are really nice and some are just okay but the rest seemed usable, just pick ones other than 16,17,18

We booked sites 16,17,18 based on reviews and pictures on the site. We wanted 3 adjoining sites with shade for our Girl Scout's first ever campout and we booked well in advance. When we arrived, the sites had piles of cutdown trees and branches multiple feet high covering the entire site spaces! There was ZERO room at all for tents, zero shade, and they were filled with hazard! There were even ropes up with signs that said "DANGER" on them! The sites were not at all usable and the camp host even said "Sorry the website shouldn't have let you book these sites, they have been like this for a long time!" They only had two sites left to put us in and they were at opposite sides of the campground so my girls couldn't even camp together and we had to squeeze into 2 sites instead of the 3 we paid for. One was okay but the other has zero shade which was a bummer. We made it work by the girls were super disappointed.

This review is for spot 29 only. Great spot, large pull through with shade. Large enough our family members that reserved spot 15 (and were unable to pitch a tent due to tree logs obstructing the tent pad) were able to join us. Excellent facility and we will be back.

This review applies to site 15 only.
Many trees were cut down and there were large logs and remnant branches strewn on the site. There was no room to set up a tent. Fortunately a family member had another site which was large, so we were able to set up on his site.

Nice area to be in cooler weather. There are dog friendly hiking trails right out of the campground (possible stream crossing). The frogs are crazy loud :). Some sites have more shade than others so do your research. Pit toilets were kept clean. Saw the camp host several times cruising the campground.
