I’ve recerving this camp for many and always loved it our family enjoyed do to the fact that has plenty of space but this we found out that for the past few years the restrictions for wood and charcoal burning I wished I could have seen it in the reservation confirmation the family was expecting to envoy a bonfire to roast marshmallows, and make s’mores I could cancel the camp but kept hoping for someone to lift the fire restrictions if it’s going to be like that in the future I must change the tradition of our family camping on 4th of July it’s no fun on going to sleep early because there’s no real fire to keep having fun thank for the excellent people talking care of the camp area will miss coming every year to celebrate a nice time on the Woods.

To start the website states there’s drinking water, which there was not. The water spigot or at least where it used to be was covered with rocks. So we had NO IDEA beforehand that there would be no water to use. This was unacceptable. When the camp host came by to check in instead of telling us about the no water problem, the 1st thing she says is no music or speakers! What!?? We were told that we could have a cell phone at low volume playing music. This is one of the main reasons we go to a group campground is to be able to enjoy ourselves and be able to listen to music without bothering anyone. This was upsetting because the campsite down the road had a full on concert the following night well past “quiet hours”. This was unacceptable. The host stated this was on the website, but I have yet to find it. When we got there there was visible trash including napkins, plastic pieces and socks people left behind. It is the occupants responsibility to make sure this is all clean before leaving but also the ranger/host needs to enforce this. The fire restrictions are honestly a joke. At the time of my reservation there were no fire restrictions in place (2months before) and then the next day we get an email stating there was one until October! Again, main reason we go camping to sit around a real fire and enjoy roasting marshmallows and hanging out, but we couldn’t even do that. That was a big disappointment. I did read from prior visitors that this has been a deterrent for them as well. Needless to say the place is ok but with all these restrictions and inconveniences, I will NOT be staying here again.
