Nice location across from Bass Lake, though there wasn't a beach at the lake. Campground had under 40 spots which was nice. It was quiet,. Bathrooms were cleaned all the time. Though our site, #3, was listed has having shade there wasn't any. Host were nice. Close 15 minuites or so to stores.

This campground was very well taken care of and maintained during our stay. The campground hosts went above and beyond. Highly recommended if you’re camping at Bass Lake.

I ignored the reviews mentioning the road noise because I thought it was just a campground road, but it is the main road for the lake traffic, so definitely recommend sites further from the road. Campground hosts were great. I booked midweek to avoid crowds and that was a good decision. When the Memorial Day crowds starting coming in, the minimal cell service pretty much disappeared as did the peace and quiet. The hiking trail is intense. I didn't go all the way up to the top, but it would easily be a hard 5 hr hike round trip. Overall a nice campground but I'm still on my quest to find actual lakeside camping in California, something I miss from the east coast.
