Beautiful clean campground, right across the street from the lake and plenty of trees to find shade throughout the day. The only thing... this could be negative or positive depending who you are... there are active bears! None of the sites have bear boxes and there wasn't much of a warning about it either. I knew there were bears in the area, but because of the lack of bear boxes we figured they didn't come around that often. We saw them almost every day and they were mischievous ones. Either way, makes for a good story just be prepared.

Everything was great ! There was a couple bears that roughed up campsites but ours was good . Put away all your food and I’m sure you’ll be fine

Lupine is a nice campground. The hosts are terrific, and maintain the bathrooms very well. Nightly check through the grounds.

The camp hosts did a fantastic job making sure the campers within the area were good neighbors. The restrooms were exceptionally clean.

Our campsite 73 allowed for 30 trailer and two vehicles.
We called prior to see if it was ok if we had two small tear drop trailers. The person at registration assured us that as long as they didn’t exceed 30 ft we were allowed.
When we arrived and registered I asked again to confirm about the two trailers and ask if I had to pay extra or do anything extra. She again assured me it was fine but I would need to get two overflow parking passes from the camp site host once the other trailer arrived because my spot didn’t have parking parking space and you were no longer allowed to park off the asphalt.
When explained to camp host she accused us of lying told us two trailers are not allowed and our friends would be turned away. After about two hours of pleading and worrying and asking who else we could speak with it was finally ok’d by higher ups. Then the camp host came over and demanded $80 cash for the second trailer even though both trailers only equaled 28 ft and she refused to give us any over flow parking pass. We will never camp at Lupine again. We never had any problems like this at Wishon. The camp host was rude, miserable and ruined our trip!

The site was on an incline, you were not allowed to have your vehicle within your space, there was barely enough room for the tent, the fire pit with the grill towards the back made no sense, and there was no bear-proof container.

Shade trees were a little sparse, but. Sites were reasonably large and maintained. Camp hosts, I think Ray and Lorraine, we’re great. Very friendly and active in keeping an eye on things. Bathrooms were ell maintained. Lake was the lowest we’ve ever seen it, but still good for boating and swimming.
